Job Summary

The Club Manager will be responsible for oversight of gym operations to ensure an exceptional member experience as well as financially successful club. The club manager will be accountable for leading a team of employees in a positive, motivating manner with continuous assistance in employee training and development.
As club manager you must be ready and able to help the club navigate these new waters in respect to covid-19 and other health related obstacles that we face as a company. You must be able to help maintain a safe and protected area for staff and members alike.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Recruit, hire, train a high performing staff consisting of Assistant Managers, Member Service representatives, Trainers and Custodians;

Create and Maintain a welcoming, friendly and positive atmosphere for members, potential members and guests;

Supervise staff and ensure they follow superior customer service guidelines;

Schedule staff and ensure all shifts are covered;

Administration and processing of employee payroll;

Resolve member and employee issues and concerns;

Involved in all frond desk related activities: answer phones in a friendly manner, check members into the system, take potential members on tours, sign up new members;

Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of facility;

Ensure safety of employees, members and club property;

Determine and communicate equipment repair in a timely manner;

Manage marketing efforts by ensuring that staff is aware and trained on all marketing promotions;

Make daily bank deposits (if told to)

Track statistics and reports daily;

Enter new members data in the system;

Prepare billing file bi-weekly;

Qualifications/Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalent;

Must be at least 18 years of age;

Continual standing and walking during shift;

Superior customer service skills;

Exceptional leadership and diplomacy skills;

Computer proficiency;

Strong problem solving skills;

Excellent communication skills;

Compensation depending on qualifications and experience.
